Notarising wills of non-Muslims before a private notary under the legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai.
When you need this service
- A non-Muslim wishing to direct the succession of their UAE assets
- Appointing an executor and a guardian for minors
Documents required
In all cases
- Original Emirates ID of all parties (original passport for non-residents)
- Personal attendance, or video identity verification for remote notarisation
- Phone number and email for each party
- Draft of the instrument, if available
In addition
- Testator's passport and Emirates ID
- List of the assets covered
- Executor's and beneficiaries' details and ID copies
- Draft of the will
Official fee
Official fee = (number of parties × AED 100) + (number of signatures × AED 100). Add AED 30 for each certified copy required.

Optional professional fee A professional fee of up to 30% of the official fee may apply under Cabinet Resolution No. 19 of 2024, except for the items specified in the Resolution. The final amount is confirmed before signing.
